2016-2017 The Years of Teaching

I have spent numerous years taking lunge lessons and dressage lessons with various instructors, and I like to combine the best of what I've learned and teach riders who are interested in dressage and dressage competition.  I have also spent many hours scribing for judges at dressage shows, and I have audited and scribed at the USDF L program. I am an Amateur, so I cannot accept anything in compensation for teaching or coaching.

My First Coaching - Faith in 2016

My friend Faith had experience in riding western style. She developed an interest in dressage, and I schooled her in her outdoor ring almost 20x40 on her Draft cross gelding at Intro Level.  She scored in the 60s at Sorensen Equestrian Park www.sorensenpark.com schooling shows, with a personal best of 66%!  Then she won Reserve Champion at the Schooling Show Championships! Congratulations Faith and Bigfoot!

My Protege Talena and Chip

Talena was interested in dressage competition, already a good rider, and groomed for Izhe and me at the September 2017 SEP Schooling Show Championships to see what goes on at shows.  Then over the winter and spring, I schooled Talena and her pony Chip at Intro, Training and First Level tests and competition rules.  Her first show will be June 9, 2018 at SEP! Good luck Talena and Chip!

Talena and Chip - June 2018

Talena and Chip were awesome on June 9! They earned 65.9% at Intro B, and 63.2% at Training 1 with a tough judge! The icing on the cake was their High Score Ribbon for Jr/YR! Congratulations Talena and Chip!

Talena and Chip - July 2018

Talena and her pony Chip outdid themselves in July with a 69.5 at Intro C, a 68 at Training 1, and 69.6 at Training 2. Talena and Chip put in many hours of schooling to get this far! On show day, thankfully we had some cloud cover so it wasn't brutally hot like the prior day! Now we look forward to the August show!
